Tag Archives: vacuum evaporation

This is the process of evaporating or distilling a solvent (normally water) by boiling it at a lower temperature than the boiling point of the solvent at atmospheric pressure, thanks to the vacuum generated in the evaporation container. This means that heat-carrying fluids can be used at low temperatures.
